Discover the Old Age Simulation Pack
The AgeingSimulationPak offers a unique experience by presenting different personas with different symptoms. Each persona is carefully designed to simulate specific aspects of aging, such as reduced mobility, limited vision, and hearing loss. By experiencing these different symptoms, one gains a deep understanding of the daily challenges that older adults face. This creates empathy and understanding, which is essential for caregivers, designers, and anyone who works with or cares for older adults.
How the suit works
The Age Simulation Suit works by wearing a custom harness onto which a variety of symptoms can be applied. On the right is an example of how the harness can simulate reduced head mobility.
In addition to the harness, we also use additional accessories such as glasses with patterns drawn on them that can replicate eye diseases (such as glaucoma), ankle straps that can be connected to the harness to hinder your normal gait, gloves to reduce tactile feedback and much more.
By combining the harness and additional accessories, we build personas that mimic what it is like to be old. Once all the symptoms are added, you put on overalls to hide the harness. Overalls are color-coded and correlate with a different combination of symptoms.

From drawing board to realization
Creating the Ageing Simulation Suit was both innovative and thoughtful. The design and development process began with extensive brainstorming sessions, where ideas were generated and refined in collaboration with students and teachers. Through trial and error, we tested and modified several concepts, with each iteration providing valuable insights. The result of this intensive collaboration and continuous improvement is a versatile collection of simulation suits, each offering a unique experience.
